When two modems
are connected via a leased line, it is similar
to connecting 2 PCs by a cross-over cable.
These two machines are transparent to the PCs,
so you don't have to have a modem driver.
Steps: Settings for the MODEM: |

Load the factory
profile (default settings) for "leased line" connection
(#3, #4 for 2WLL; #7, #8 for 4WLL). |

Change Protocol: "Protocol">"Protocol
Type" to "Auto MNP/V42". |

Set Data format: "Config DTE">"Data
Format">"Async" |

Set flow control: "Config DTE">"Flow
Control">"RTS/CTS" |

Set DTE speed: "Config DTE">"DTE
Speed">"38400"(assuming
you have set your RAS to 38400) |

Settings on NT: Install modem
by adding "Dial-Up
Networking Serial Cable between 2PCs" in
the Standard Modem menu. |

Setup this null-modem to "Dial-out" and
set RAS speed to match the DTE speed of the
modem. |
