In our Scorpio 1500 series product, it could be divided into five parts:
ADMS: ADMinistrative Concentrator- this device is used to aggregate several IPAM-16 and IPAM-24.
IPAM-16: IP Access Multiplexer cascade mode- this device is used to aggregate several ADSL link and need to be connected to AMDS for centralized management. (16 ports ADSL)
IPAM-16s: IP Access Multiplexer standalone mode- compare to IPAM-16, this device is a standalone type, don't need to be connected to ADMS.
IPAM-24: IP Access Multiplexer cascade mode-this device is used to aggregate several SHDSL link and need to be connected to AMDS for centralized management. (24 ports SHDSL)
IPAM-24s: IP Access Multiplexer standalone mode- compare to IPAM-24, this device is a standalone type, don't need to be connected to ADMS.
In our product plan, SCORPIO 1510 SE is a G.SHDSL modem/router can connect to IPAM-24s or IPAM-24. On the other hand, SCORPIO 1510 AE is an ADSL modem/router can connect to IPAM-16 or IPAM-16s.
