The Company's Audit Office reports to the Board of Directors and is staffed by one full-time auditor. Audits are conducted within the Company and its subsidiaries. The Internal Audit Procedures stipulate that internal audits review the internal controls within the Company's operating procedures and report on the adequacy, effectiveness, and efficiency of the design and routine implementation of these controls. This audit scope covers all operational and management functions, including finance and business operations, and is organized into ten cycles and internal project audits as required by law.
Audit work is primarily conducted in accordance with the audit plan approved by the Board of Directors. Project audits are also conducted as necessary. Recommendations for improvement are made based on potential deficiencies in the internal control system and audit reports are issued. The Audit Supervisor regularly reports on audit work to the Audit Committee and attends Board of Directors meetings to ensure corporate governance is adhered to.
In addition, the Audit Office oversees self-inspections by each unit and subsidiary of the Company, establishing a corporate self-monitoring mechanism. The results of these self-inspections serve as the basis for management's internal control system statements.
